PE PP Washing Line Description:
PE PP washing line is a specialized industrial recycling system designed to process post-consumer or post-industrial plastic waste into clean, dry flakes. While PE (Polyethylene) and PP (Polypropylene) have different chemical structures, they are often processed in the same line because they share a similar density (both float in water), allowing for efficient separation from heavier contaminants like dirt, sand, and other plastics (PET, PVC).
Hard vs. Soft Plastic Processing:
The “plastic washing line” is highly modular. Depending on whether you are recycling Soft Plastics (films, bags, woven sacks) or Hard Plastics (bottles, crates, drums), the configuration of the machines changes slightly:
1. Soft Plastics (LDPE/PP Films): Focuses on preventing “tangling” and involves intensive drying (often using a “squeezer” or thermal dryer) because films trap more water.
2. Hard Plastics (HDPE/PP Rigids): Focuses on high-impact crushing and removing labels or adhesives from the surface of rigid flakes.
PE PP Recycling Line Features:

1. Modular Design: PE PP recycling line can be configured in “L,” “U,” or “S” shapes to fit the factory floor layout.
2. Water Recycling: Modern systems include a filtration unit to treat and reuse the washing water, significantly reducing utility costs.

3. Automation: Managed by a central PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) system to monitor motor loads and water levels automatically.

Why is this Plastic Washing Line effective?
Because PE and PP have a density of roughly 0.90 – 0.95 g/cm3, and water is 1.0 g/cm3, the Sink-Float technology is nearly 100% accurate in separating these target materials from heavier waste. This produces high-purity flakes that can be directly fed into a Pelletizing Line to create recycled plastic granules.
