3. Friction Cleaning: The crushed pieces enter a high-speed friction washer, where water flow and mechanical friction initially separate stubborn surface dirt and sediment.

4. Rinsing and Separation: A spiral washer or rinsing tank utilizes density differences to further separate suspended impurities (such as paper scraps and labels) from settled sediment. A cyclone separator is optional to remove light dust.

5. Dehydration: The cleaned pieces are processed in a high-speed dehydrator, significantly reducing their moisture content, preparing them for melt granulation and effectively saving drying energy.
