The live, full-load factory trial demonstrated the line’s exceptional efficiency in processing post-consumer PET bottles into high-purity, food-grade eligible flakes, fully satisfying the stringent quality and safety standards mandated by the European market.

Engineering Solutions for Large-Scale Circular Economy:

Processing 2,000 kilograms of PET bottles per hour requires a highly robust mechanical design and intelligent process separation. The European client’s primary objective was to minimize labor costs while maximizing the rPET (recycled PET) flake purity – specifically targeting ultra-low limits for PVC, label, cap, and metal contamination.

BEIER’s customized high-capacity recycling system proved its capabilities across every stage of the automated process during the live demonstration.

Technical Highlights of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT):

During the live trial at BEIER’s manufacturing facility, the entire line operated continuously, showcasing several advanced proprietary technologies:

High-Efficiency Label Removal: The mechanical de-labeling system achieved a label removal rate exceeding 98% without damaging the bottle necks, drastically reducing manual sorting pressure downstream.
Intelligent Crushing & Material Optimization: The heavy-duty granulator, equipped with a constant water-feeding system, processed the bottles into uniform flakes while simultaneously starting the pre-washing process to remove abrasive contaminants.
Advanced Friction & Hot Washing: Utilizing precisely controlled chemical ratios, temperatures, and residence times, the hot washing units thoroughly dissolved stubborn glues, oils, and organic residues from the flakes.
Flotation & Zig-Zag Air Separation: The specialized sink-float tanks and air classifiers perfectly separated lighter polyolefin caps (PP/PE) and residual labels from the heavier PET flakes, ensuring maximum material purity.
Online Water Recycling Integration: The system showcased excellent water management, utilizing multi-stage filtration to recycle processing water, a feature highly praised by the European engineering team for its eco-friendly footprint.
